Angel fund event

Dog Day in the Park

Cocker Nation will have a booth at this annual day-long extravaganza will be held on September 15, 2012 to promote responsible dog ownership and will include educational booths, apartment housing for dog owners, bandanas for dogs (with in-kind donation), carnival games, demonstrations of various types including but not limited to obedience and rally matches, drill team by BOW-WOW BUNCH 4-H, retrieving, canine freestyle dancing, search and rescue, lure coursing demonstrations, micro-chipping, Police Canine Unit and more! Additionally, Canine Good Citizen evaluations will be conducted, rescue groups and vendors will be available to offer information regarding services and products. The Police Canine Unit will conduct demonstrations. There will also be carnival games and concessionaires with great food

The 8th Annual STAR 105.7 West Michigan Pet Expo is the longest running and best attended pet expo in Michigan. Attracting more than 60 pet related vendors, the event provides non-stop entertainment to attendees with talented pet shows, seminars, and adoption areas. The West Michigan Pet Expo is produced by Clear Channel Media and Entertainment and the DeltaPlex. Crowds in 2013 are expected to reach the 10,000 mark over the two days.

Presented by Purina One and supported by PetSmart Charities, Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo will be held outdoors under tents in the Zoo's front parking lot beneath the landmark water tower. There is no charge for admission or parking for the adoption event; however, regular admission and parking fees apply for those visiting the Zoo. The event will include special appearances by Detroit Zoo mascots Junior Z and the Zooper Heroes.

Doggie Fun Run, Fashion Show, Disc Dog Competitions, Wiener Dog Races, Pet Retail Vendors, Dog Bowl 2013 King and Queen, Dog Breeds of the World Show, Annual Canine Cruise of the Bavarian Belle River Boat, DockDogs Competition and Hot Air Balloons. There will be many rescue groups and animals for adoption.
